Penrose Library
Library Computer Facilities
There are several ways in which members of the Whitman community can use the computer resources in Penrose Library:
- There are 9 Apple iMacs and 35 Windows PC's located in study carrels throughout the library. All are connected to the campus network and the Internet.
- 5 PC laptops and 5 MacBook Airs are available for checkout for use within the Library. They are pre-configured to connect the campus network, the Internet, and the Library's printers. See below for checkout details.
- If you have your own laptop computer, you may connect it to the campus network, the Internet, and networked printers from within the library. You can use a standard ethernet cable connected to any of the many open network ports. Or, you can take advantage of the wireless network (requires a valid Whitman network login).
Penrose Computer Hours
Check the Penrose Library website for current open hours as they may fluctuate throughout the term.
