Whitman Password Reset

Summary

This page will assist you with changing your known or recovering your forgotten Whitman password.

Who this is for: All Whitman community members that have a Whitman username and password

In a browser, navigate to id.whitman.edu
In the Username field, enter your Whitman username (everything before the @whitman.edu in your email address).
Click the “Go” button
Click the “Log In with Whitman Account” button
If prompted, type in your Whitman username and password on the next screen.
If prompted, verify your account via Duo
Next, click on the down arrow next to your name in the page’s menu bar
Choose, “Change Password”
Enter your current password in the “Current Password” field.
Enter a new password in the “New Password” field. The new password must meet the following criteria:
1. 8-255 characters long
2. Minimum 1 uppercase letter
3. Minimum 1 lowercase letter
4. Minimum 1 number
5. Minimum 1 special character
Re-enter the new password in the “Confirm New Password” field.
Finally, click “Save”

In a browser, navigate to id.whitman.edu
In the Username field, enter your Whitman username (everything before the @whitman.edu in your email address).
Click the “Go” button
Click the “Forgot Password?” button
If a phone number has been registered with your account, a SMS text message will be immediately sent to that phone number. Enter the code that texted in the “Enter Code” field on the SMS Authentication page and then click “Go”.
If a personal email account has been registered with your account, a one-time code will be immediately sent to that address. Enter the emailed code in the “Enter Code” field on the Email Authentication page and then click “Go”.
Enter a new password in the “New Password” field. The new password must meet the following criteria:
1. 8-255 characters long
2. Minimum 1 uppercase letter
3. Minimum 1 lowercase letter
4. Minimum 1 number
5. Minimum 1 special character
Re-enter the new password in the “Confirm New Password” field.
Finally, click “Go”
