Smart Classroom Training

Training is encouraged for faculty regardless of prior training or Smart Classroom experience. Although there is a standard classroom model, hardware and setup sometimes change from room-to-room due to upgrades that are implemented between semesters. Training can also be especially helpful for faculty who plan to use a laptop computer or want to become more familiar with the available technology.

Whitman College faculty can schedule one-on-one training and equipment orientation sessions for Smart Classroom use by submitting an email request to ims@whitman.edu To maximize Smart Classroom training resources, a minimum of one week advance notice is requested.

In addition to individual training, we have created basic webpages for each smart classroom.  This is a good resource to see what equipment is available for use and most have a downloaded PDF with instructions on how to operate the classroom equipment.
