Be mindful of how much "context" you provide in the outgoing message.
For example, do not include the URL, account name, or service name in a message where you include a password.
Step-by-step guide
To send a message:
- enter your short message text
- (optional) create a passphrase**
- select the expiration time
- as short as reasonable is recommended
- as short as reasonable is recommended
- click the Create a secret link button
- copy the generated link to an email message to your intended recipient
** creating a passphrase makes it impossible for the web page operator to access your text; however, you will then need to communicate this passphrase to your recipient through a mechanism separate from email.
