Secure Text Exchange

Be mindful of how much "context" you provide in the outgoing message.

For example:  do not include the URL, account name, or service name in a message where you include a password.

Point your browser at:  https://onetimesecret.com

Step-by-step guide

To send a message:

  1. enter your short message text
  2. (optional) create a passphrase**
  3. select the expiration time
    1. as short as reasonable is recommended
  4. click the Create a secret link button
  5. copy the generated link to an email message to your intended recipient

** creating a passphrase makes it impossible for the web page operator to access your text; however, you will then need to communicate this passphrase to your recipient through a mechanism separate from email.
