Zoom Phone: Enabling SMS messaging

In order to enable SMS messaging, also known as texting, from Zoom your phone, you must fill out and submit this form for approval that states you agree to the following.

The college supports using the Zoom application for SMS communication to enhance connectivity. However, we would like to remind you of a few important security precautions and guidelines. 

• Security Measures. The same level of caution exercised in sending and receiving emails should also be applied to SMS messages. This includes carefully reviewing the content of messages and ensuring that sensitive information is not disclosed inadvertently

• Avoid clicking links. Make sure the source has been thoroughly checked  and verified before clicking links. This measure is critical to protect against phishing and other security risks

• Official use only. We strongly encourage all personnel to use institution provided computers and phones for this purpose. This ensures alignment with operational standards and safeguards institutional data and assets.
