Computer Registration

Summary: 

When attempting to connect your computer or any other device to Whitman Network using an ethernet, a device registration is required, following is a step by step guide on how to do so. 

Guide for devices that has a web browser: 

If your devices allows you to access the internet via a web browser (computers, smartphones, etc…) : 

  1. Connect to the internet via inserting the either net cable in its designated place. 
  2. Open a web browser (Chrome, Safari or many other browsers)
  3. Go to whitreg.whitman.edu
  4. As seen in the following image, select between two options; First option is registering this computer or device to allow access to the network. The second option is registering another computer or device to allow access to the network. 
  5. In the case of clicking on registering this computer or device to allow access to the network, it will be the same as registering another computer or device to allow access to the network, the only difference is that you won’t be required to provide the network hardware address. As for registering another computer or device to allow access to the network, you will be prompted to another page where you enter your Whitman username and password, as seen in the following image
  6. Next step is to click on secure login, as seen in the image below
  7. After that you will be taken to another page where you fill in some information as seen in the following image.
  8. Finally click submit.
